Policies and Procedures
1. Attendance and Absences

- Unexplained Absence: Should a child be absent without prior notice, the Camp Manager will contact the parent/guardian to verify the child’s safety.
- Welfare Monitoring: To the Whistle Ltd is committed to investigating the causes of prolonged or unexplained absences. Where staff have concerns regarding a child’s welfare, the matter will be escalated to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in accordance with our Main Policy Documents.
2. Mobile Phones and Wearable Devices
Children are strongly discouraged from bringing mobile phones or electronic wearables to camp.
- Storage: Any devices brought to camp must be handed to the Camp Manager upon arrival for secure storage in a locked box. They must not be left in bags or coats.
- Usage Restrictions: Devices are not to be used for calls, SMS, internet browsing, or photography during camp hours.
- Liability: Parents should note these are items of high value; the camp assumes no liability for loss or damage.
